I've been quite busy lately (and still am). I have a full time job at 40 hours a week and right now I'm being asked to do stuff for people a lot. I enjoy every minute when I'm making things for others, because I know it's appreciated. I've just finished this baby blanket for my friend's grandchild

There was some wool left when I finished, so I decided to make a little "bonus" present for the baby

Needles to say my friend was very surprised and happy about this Prima Bunny Ballerina. I'm sure I'll make more soft toys in future. They are so much fun to make and they put a smile on everybodys face.

Bagpuss, dear Bagpuss

Old fat furry cat-puss

Wake up and look at this thing that I bring

Wake up, be bright

Be golden and light

Bagpuss, Oh hear what I sing.

Bagpuss knitted in a soft furry wool. It was quite a task because it's very detailed - especially the head........................but it was worth the work.

I actually don't have a pet but I'd like to have one eventually, either a cat or a dog. However, this didn't stop me from making this little pet bed because I know how especially cats love to jump into boxes or whatever  they can find just lying around on the floor (right now you nod and smile if you have a cat) :D

It's made of T-shirt yarn that I bought (you can make your own), so it's quite heavy and chunky and easy to clean. It's perfect if you take your pet with you when you travel, because you can just fold it, put it in your bag and go

This is how the yarn looks if you decide to buy. I used almost the whole of the grey/black (450 g) and a bit of the pink.

Crochet, crochet, crochet

I'm very much into crochet right now. There are so many new and exiting patterns out there, or new interpretations of old patterns. I just love all the colours that are available and it opens a whole new crochet world.

This is what I've been doing lately and I think it turned out pretty well

It's been a while............

It's been a bit quiet in here lately I'm afraid but I've been busy with the jewellery making. I've had lots of custom orders so I'm not complaining :-).

I'll post some pictures of my latest jewellery. It won't all be there because that'll take too much time and space so maybe I'll post that later when things quiet down a bit. On top of everything, I've had a bad cold so I wasn't able to do anything for 3-4 days. I hate being ill, so I spent my few precious minutes out of bed, searching for a home made cure. I found this detox bath recipe and had to try it. It really helps!! I'm convinced I would've spent a lot more time in bed if it wasn't for a good detox bath.

If you don't have a bath tub, maybe this will help, Honey and cinnamon - a simple cold home remedy. I haven't tried that but I'm certain I'll get the chance during the winter ;-).

This is the lampshade I made from the doilies I bought at the market.

I saw this jewellery display stand somewhere on the net (Pinterest I think) and decided to try to make it myself. I found these beautiful small cups in the market and thought they would be perfect for my project. I really like the idea of recycling things and I'm always looking for new ideas..........not just to save money but to make something you can't find in the stores. We all like something unique don't we?.... but very often it costs lots of money. I made this for about £2..................love it!! :-D
